The inspiration for Gecko came last summer while hiking with my family in the hills back behind our house. Native lizard were sunning themselves on rocks and my two boy, Zack and Joe, could not resist attempting to catch them. I was fascinated by the side to side movement of the lizards' legs and tail as they scurried to find safet.y
