Named for their powerful jaws used to catch insects, dragonflies are a popular subject of European folklore. Though most associations are negative, in Norse mythology the dragonfly is a symbol of love. In ancient lore, dragonflies symbolize transformation, illumination, and the ability to see beyond oneself. Also see Frame Up!, a design option for this project.
